Is this considered skincare or makeup? Can it control oil on the face?
Hello! I use this product to control oil production on my nose! I would say it counts as skincare and make up because it leaves the skin shine free but it also preps your skin for foundation! It's a very nice product!
Hi gorgeous! The POREfessional is a primer so it is considered as makeup. This pore-minimizing primer is best for hiding the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin. If you're looking to control all-over shine, we recommend the POREfessional: agent zero shine! This shine-control powder instantly minimizes shine and helps smooth the look of pores. The invisible translucent shade is perfect for every skin tone - wear it over the POREfessional for maximum POREfection! You can find the POREfessional: agent zero shine here at BenefitCosmetics.com: https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/the-porefessional-agent-zero-shine xoxo, B
Is this item gluten free? I have celiac disease and need to use gluten free products if at all possible. Love this product, just want to make sure I'm safe. Thank you so much!!
Hi gorgeous! POREfessional does not contain soy or gluten ingredients. However, please note that in spite of all the care we take over the traceability of our raw materials, we cannot guarantee that the raw material may have accidentally come into contact with them during the manufacturing process at our suppliers. B xo
When should I apply my BBcream? I've got POREfessional but since I use BBcream and I want to start using SPF I want to know how should I use them. Which one goes first, second and third?
Hi beautiful, POREfessional is a primer so you should use it right after moisturizing, before you apply your BB cream. B xo
Is this product vegan? Is this product vegan? In other words, is this product free of animal or animal-derived ingredients?
Hi gorgeous! The POREfessional does not contain animal derived ingredients and can be considered vegan. xoxo, B
IS POREfessional waterprroof?
Hi gorgeous! The POREfessional is not waterproof. xoxo, B
the POREfessional face primer vs stay flawless? I'm 17 years old and I don't actually have any pores or acnes, . What would be the best primer for me to use under hello flawless oxygen wow and high beam that I already use?
Hi gorgeous! Stay flawless is the primer for you. Our instant PRO-long primer acts like a magnet to lock on your foundation for 15 fresh & flawless hours. It's the perfect base for your hello flawless oxygen wow and high beam! xoxo, B
Is this product non-comedegenic?
Hi gorgeous! Benefit does not test for or claim that our products are hypo-allergenic (least likely to cause an allergic reaction) or non-comedogenic (does not cause pimples & blackheads). If you have a specific allergy, please bring the ingredient listing (can be found on the product page) to your doctor to determine if a product is suitable for your skin. B xo
can (should) i use this with big easy? if so, which one first? i have fairly oily skin.
well i use the porefessional underneath the big easy, so i dont see why not :)
Of course you can! You can use it before or you can mix both products together and then apply.
Will this work around eyes I wanted to know if this would be good to use around the eye area to keep my concealer from getting in my fine lines and wrinkles?
Yes! I use it on my eyelids and it prevents my makeup from creasing and smudging. It works just as well on my eyelids as it does on the rest of my face.
I use the POREfessional all over my face, including fine lines around my eye area and it works a treat. Try it!
How do I know if the Porefessional is still good to use after its expiration? Because when applied, it kinda breaks down already
In general, our unopened products have a shelf life of 36 months.
My large pore area is on either side of my nose, below my eyes. Will this work for that area?
It worked for me. I got to try it in a sample tube; ask if they could give you one.. It's an amazing product. I had given up on pore minimizers. Good luck.
Absolutely! That is where my worst pores and acne scars are, I'd be lost without this.
Yes work for that area.
Yes, Gorgeous! You can use POREfessional all over your face.
Usage of the product Can the POREfessional be used all over the face as a primer? Can it be used on a daily basis. I have a few pores on my cheeks. My aim is to hide the pores as well as serve as a primer to lock my foundation & powder. Or should I opt of the 15 hr Flawless Primer? Thanks.
After being surprising pleased with the results of this product, I read the insert. You can use it as a primer before foundation and as a touch-up after applying foundation. Give it a try. Ask if you can get a small sample tube.
This product does well as a primer, in fact, I add this to my priming routine and I find it stays on long and strong! I use this product every day, it is the very first thing I put on my face even before my primer. it does hide your pores and does well as a primer. Good Luck -Serenity
POREfessional is meant to be used as a primer, all over your face. If your primer concern is to hide your pores, I'd definitely recommend POREfessional. If your main concern is to lock on your makeup, I'd recommend Stay Flawless.
Can POREfessional be used as an eye primer/base
No, because every products are made for different use. This is for pores... you need a add product in your eyes, especific made for that area, its super sensitive
If you're looking for an eye primer or base, I'd recommend giving Stay Don't Stray a try. POREfessional isn't meant to be used on your eyes.
Silicone or water based? Just wondering because I heard silicone isn't great for the skin.
POREfessional is silicone based.
Cheeks? I have huge pores on my cheeks and want to make them less noticeable. Can I use this product on that area?
I use this product primarily on my cheeks, chin and nose. It does a great job on my cheeks. Just make sure your face is very clean and that you let it dry all the way before applying any foundation. No primer will make your pore go away completely, but this does a great job smoothing you out. (Sometimes I wear it all over my face, but most days I just moisturize all over and then put this on my problem areas.) ** I have fairly bad acne and HUGE pores.
Sure, you can either use it alone or with other make-up base. I usually don't like to make up a lot so I just put on the sunscreen and then apply this one to my face on top. It looks gorgeous covering all the pores on the cheeks and nose. Hope this helps :)
Definitely! You can use POREfessional all over your face to help minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Is this good at oil-controlling for T-zone?
you can use this for an oil control but i recommend the 15 hour stick primer its more matte and because your oily there your makeup most likely slips so the 15 hour hold is great. and obviously you should use powder!
To keep your T-Zone under control, apply the POREfessional from the center of the face outward by patting lightly with fingertips.
If POREfessional helps with pores, how is it on fine lines and wrinkles??
It sort of helps "blur" the look of fine lines, the same way it helps blur the look of pores. It's not going to make you look 20 years younger but it really does sort of "soft-focus" the look of your face and it does help foundation apply more smoothly, in my experience, and that further helps with the "blurring" effect.
Porefessional will help to minimize the appearance of fine lines, and give your skin a smoother than smooth finish.
Could I use both porefessional and the 15hour primeror would that be redundant? I just both a sample of porefessional, and the full size hello flawless 15 hour primer. Do they do different things, or would it be redundant if I used them both at once?
I use the POREfessional where my pores are the largest, not all over my face, and then use the Hello Flawless 15 hour primer everywhere else and I love them together!
Yes, you can use the POREfessional and Stay Flawless together. You can quickly minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines with The POREfessional and maintain foundation longevity and long wear by using Stay Flawless afterward.
Application Help! I bought a trial-size tube of this from Ulta and got a tiny, tiny free tube of it as well during a freebie promotion. I was sooooooooo excited to try it and even got some of the Hello Flawless foundation to try over it. Sadly, it didn't work. At all. I saw a video online from a makeup artist who suggested using a stippling brush in small circles to erase huge pores but even that didn't work. I want to love this product, can anyone help with suggestions of an application technique? (I have very fair, oily skin and live in a more humid climate.)
im a makeup artist so i hope this helps. 1. apply your usual face products concealer, foundation, etc. 2.apply this product just on your cheek bones, the bridge of your nose, upper lip cupid part 2 WAY- 1. take your foundation and mix it with girl meets pearl 2. apply powder, blush, etc. the 2 way might be better for your oily skin so yeah also go on youtube type in how to use girl meets pearl on oily skin hope this helped
Hi: I'm not sure if you've already tried applying the POREfessional on your T-zone first and then applying your Hello Flawless foundation on top of the POREfessional. You can also try mixing both and applying the mixture on your face with a foundation brush. Hope I've been helpful!
Is color matter? Is this product have color? or is only one color? im confuse since when I going to order this product and it didnt have any choice of color come up. Thanks
It is only 1 color, but when using it, you can't see the color it has. Basically, it works for ALL skin tones!
This product is a color-less primer. It is not available in additional shades.
How long will the POREfessional last you? I am super excited to get this! However, it is only .75 oz which feels like a small amount. So I was just wondering how long it normally lasts and how much you should use! Thanks!
Hi CEC13 I agree the tube is small. I can usually get three months of everyday (even weekend) use of the POREfessional tube. One of the suggestions I made in my review of the product was to have two sizes--one for people like me who don't enjoy ordering every couple of months and the original size. I hope this helps you. Be Well Disneylady2
You only need to use a pea sized amount each time.
can i use it as a foundation？ can i use it as a foundation，apply it on nake skin，then just put on powers？
You most certainly can apply it on naked skin and then add on some powder. It will minimize pores, but it doesn't have the consistency of a foundation, bear that in mind.
The Porefessional is not a foundation, it's a primer. However, you can use it in lieu of foundation, if you'd like.
Redness? I usually apply and anti-redness cream under my foundation but my pores are very visible under my foundation! Will I be able to apply my anti-redness cream under or over this? will it work the same?
I would imagine it will still work just as well if you apply your anti redness cream under this, my moisturiser has similar properties and Ive had no issues, (ive also used anti blemish cream under with no negative effect, maybe try it on a small area. I have noticed the POREfessional covers some of the redness in my skintone though so depending on how red it is you may not even need the cream.
I sometimes use it under my "foundation base" which has tint of green to cover any redness. I never have trouble using the product under the foundation base, but since I have extremely dry skin, I spray facial mist after the foundation base then apply my foundation as having multiple layers of products tend to make my face very dry after some time. I also do a lot of makeup for my friends when we go out, and if you have bigger and visible pore, I find that you should warm up the product by putting it on the back of your hand (using body heat) then use the sponge to dab it in and you should dab in lots like hammering in the product into your pore. Then let it dry for a bit, and then go ahead and apply the anti-redness cream and rest of your makeup. :)
In my opinion, you can use the porefessional to apply on your pores area and T-zone only, and then continue to apply your anti-redness cream. After that, apply foudation over this. I think it works, why don't give it a try. I'm using the porefessional, and it really worked, my pores were invisible after i applied this product.
Hi: I suppose you could try using Porefessional over your anti-redness cream (I would also like to know whether it is a coloured cream to cover your redness, like Lemon aid, or just a moisturizer which has the aim to prevent redness) and under your foundation. It could also work if Porefessional is applied over both your anti-redness cream and your foundation.
You should apply the anti redness cream first. There's no way to know if it will work the same. It will depend on the anti-redness cream's consistency.
Does this help with the longevity of my makeup? I am interested in the POREfessional but was wondering if it will actually help my makeup last longer or if it just makes my skin look good. I need my makeup to last all day but actually LOOK GOOD all day which is sometimes hard because it will settle in dry patches, e.c.t. So will this help last long not just making my skin look good?
Hello MDdolphin! I hope I can help you with your question in regards to the Porefessional. I originally bought the POREfessional because my sweet little daughter was kind enough to point out I had "holes" on my nose! So I bought the POREfessional and found that it not only filled the pores, but also worked as a kind of smoothing base, filling in small lines and covering up imperfections, creating a kind of smoother canvas for my cover-up. I noticed that with the POREfessional and my cover-up together topped with a small amount of powder to set it, my make-up stayed on throughout the day, with nothing more needed except perhaps a little more powder towards the later part of the day around my T-zone, which tends to be a bit oily sometimes anyway. When I bought the POREfessional I was a bit hesitant about the $30 something price, but now some two years later, when the tube is nearly gone, I make sure I head over to the mall and pick up another so I never run out of the stuff! It is seriously the "Miracle Face Primer" AND "little holes on your nose" filler! Hope that helps in your decision! Mrs Zim
This will absolutely keep your makeup in place for longer. It's like a primer on steroids to give you the perfect canvas for the rest of your makeup.
It will do both! POREfessional is a primer which helps makeup stay on longer and it will also minimize your pores and fine lines for great looking skin. If you have dry skin, I would recommend our brightening primer "that gal" instead. Or you can always have both like I do - I mix them together and then I apply my Hello Flawless oxygen foundation. Best of both worlds!
Would this work well with Hello Flawless Powder? I currently only use Hello Flawless and I want to use something that would "smooth" out my face a bit w/o having to use foundation or much more. Would this do the trick?
Yes! Definately!!! I to have the Hello flawless powder compact and I use the porefessional under the powder and this gives me a really flawless complexion! I have oily/ spot prone skin and the two products together have given me back confidence in the way I look and feel about my skin! I've never left a review before, but I can't praise the porefessional enough!!! I firstly dot on my porefessional then apply my Hello flawless with a foundation brush for the most flawless finish achievable!!!! Hope this helps! X
Yes! I use the POREfessional under my Hello Flawless powder and it makes my face so much smoother. When I want extra coverage, I use the POREfessional under Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation and brush Hello Flawless powder over it. My makeup stays put ALL day!
I believe so. I usually apply it before using a powder foundation from another brand and it works much better - and lasts much longer - than when I only apply the powder directly to my face.
This will definitely do the trick. It will also help "Hello Flawless" stay on even longer.
Usage for acne and blackheads Would this cover or minimize the look of blackheads? I have pores and blackheads on my nose and i need something to cover them. Also, do i just use my fingers to apply this or would i need a brush?
It does minimize pores, I have used two tubes of this product now and I'll continue to re-buy it. I apply it down my nose and the corners of my nose with either a clean concealer brush or clean fingers, depending on whether I'm on the go or not.
I think it will only minimize the pores not the blackheads. I pat it on with my fingers.
Maybe you should combine the use of this product with a liquid or powder foundation to cover blackheads, but it does prepare your skin for all the next products to work better and last almost all day long. I combine it with That Gal to get a fresher look. I really don't think you need a brush - I apply it with my fingertips as I do with my moisturizer.
Any men out there use this? and if so, how do you go about applying it? Is it for all skin types? Is it noticeable or will others not know you are wearing it? Would love something to cover up my large pores. Thanks in advance!
My boyfriend had really large pores the other week and he doesn't usually. I suggested that he should let me put some of this on him and he was a bit nervous at first but after I promised him its not seen on the skin he used it and really liked it. Don't be put off by colour of it when it comes out of the tube because you honestly can't tell once its on the skin! I think you can use this on any skin type but I think it works best on Oily/combination skin as it stops your skins from looking greasy/shiny.
I'm not a guy, but I do know guys that wear this! There's no way anyone would be able to tell that you wear this, it's so smooth, it will just make you look like you have perfect skin. Also, it will definitely cover up your large pores, it does for me! You won't regret it, it's the best primer ever out there!
Apparently, there are men who DO use POREfessional. It isn't noticeable, and it would help you with your pore problem. As to how to apply it, some peoople, including myself, apply this all over their faces, but it is preferable if you focus on your T zone (forehead, chin, nose).
Is this primer good for oily skin? I have a super oily t-zone and I've never found a good primer or even good foundation to help keep my skin from getting oily after an hour or two.
Yes! I also have really oily skin and my make up would slowly disappear after a few hours. Now I use this it really locks my make up in place and stops my shine coming through. It allows you to go a few more hours without having to re-apply.
I would suggest blotting Dr. Feelgood on your T-zone prior to foundation. It is smoothing and controls oil. It has a velvety finish. Make sure you blot it though, not rub it on.
Is there a need to apply makeup remover to remove this at the end of the day?
