Girl Meets Pearl is not oil-free. Unfortunately, I cannot predict if it will cause pimples on acne prone skin. If you've been advised to stick with oil-free products, this may not be a good choice for you.
This soft, liquid pearl luminizer features light-reflecting pigments to give your complexion an exquisite, dewy glow. It includes raspberry & chamomile, known for their soothing properties and sweet almond seed extract known to help improve skin firmness & smoothness.

Since it says that it has sesame seed oil, will it cause pimples to acne prone skin? My skin is very sensative, and I have to use oil free products, but this highlighter has such a nice color that I want to use it but I'm afraid that I'll clog my pores and or get pimples.
I've used this for years and it has never broken me out :) it's a very light formula, I don't think it will clog pores or cause you to break out!
What is the overall difference between this and high beam? Or even Sun Beam? Thank you!
I find that this product can go all over your face as it is more subtle than high beam, also sun beam is a tad darker, more suited to tanned skin tones while this is more universal and high beam is probably better suited to fair skin :)
Hi: The first difference between Girl Meets Pearl and High Beam would be the colour: the former is a golden pink, whereas the latter is a pearly pink. Sun Beam is utterly different, it's a light bronze. As for how it looks on the skin, I recently posted a review on Girl Meets Pearl in which I mentioned the candle lit radiance it gives to your complexion. The way High Beam looks on your skin is different, as if a direct white light was hitting on you, whereas what Sun Beam mainly is highlight and enhance your suntan. You can use any of them depending on what makeup you're wearing and what look and what effect you're trying to create. Hope I've been helpful!
Can I use Girl Meets Pearl with bronzer? How would I apply this and my bronzer? I also use a foundation and concealer.
Yes, stipple it on...it will look amazing. Less is more! Take itty bitty bits
If you're using your bronzer for contouring, you'll put that below your cheeks and the highlighter will go on your cheek bones (as well as your brow bones and nose, if you want it there!) If you're using bronzer all over, just put that down first, perhaps dust it with a little finishing powder, then smooth some of the Girl Meets Pearl on top of that.
What is the best way to give a youthful glow to older skin (fiftes) without accentuating lines?
This Girl meets Pearl might be your answer
What can you apply this with? I got this for my birthday, but I'm not sure what I should apply it to my face with? Like a brush, my hand, a makeup pad?
Hi: I normally apply it with my fingers, but I've recently taken to mixing it with my foundation to give it a little plus, and for such an end, I use the foundation brush.
I just put a little blob on my finder and lightly tap on my face where I want it, then I lighting rub it into my skin. I use my fingers because you only need a little bit of the lotion per use.
Happy Birthday! You can gently pat over makeup for an exquisite glow, or wear alone for soft pearlessence. I love to mix my girl meets pearl with my moisturizer or that gal face primer. You can also use a brush to apply.
Primer? I got this as a sample with my last order, and love it more then that gal,it still gives me the same smoothness, but wanted to ask if this is a primer?? Cause it doesn't say anyway that it is. Regardless I love it!
Hello: This is a highlighter, and you can use it solo, under or over foundation, and you can even blend some of it with your foundation.
It's not a primer it goes over foundation or you can wear it alone
The primer by benifit is called that gal which is a pinkish coloured based primer. i have both of these and i use the that gal first and the use some kind a gourgeous foundation adding the girl meets pearl and blending it in.
No, it's not a primer, it's an illuminator
I just recieved an order that included 'Girl meets pearl' how do I get the product out? I removed the lid & the plactic cap I cant see any plastic sheet covering the powder holes but I still cant get anything out??
Hi Chloe! Twist the bottom part of the component, you should hear clicks. The first time will take quite a few clicks so just keep twisting 'til you see the product.
What exactly does "girl meets pearl" do?
It gives your skin a flawless dewy glow
it is a thick- ish pink pearly face illuminator with calming agents to make you skin less red and a nice smell
"Girl Meets Pearl" is a thick, pink, shimmery, blendable highlighter that you can use in a lot of ways. On days when I don't wear makeup, I like to blend a little on my cheekbones and my eyelids and it gives my fair skin a natural but noticeable glow. When I wear makeup, it's easy to blend onto cheekbones and eyelids after applying foundation and eye makeup to give a glow that's more subtle and natural-looking than "High Beam," but still lovely. If you want more of a dewy look, you can also blend "Girl Meets Pearl" all over your face (on top of moisturizer if you're not wearing makeup or over foundation if you are.) A little of this product goes a long way, and it's very buildable, so you can blend on more or less, depending on how intense you want your dewy look to be. I hope this helps you!
Mix it with a tinted moisturizer, for an all over dewy look :)
It's really nice and you can use it as a highlighter, and it smells delicious! :)
It gives you a really soft beautiful glow without looking too ethereal! Its a fool proof highlighter that you can use anywhere on the face and never overdo because it is so beautifully subtle. I absolutely love this product. It does the same as High Beam but with a more soft warm golden glow instead of pink :)
