Vegan? I am becoming vegan and I was wondering if this product is vegan?
Hi gorgeous! Brow zings contains Beeswax and Carmine, which can be considered “animal” derived. xoxo, B
What color should I use? I use gimme brow light to med. should I go with the med brow zings?
Hi gorgeous! I'd recommend brow zings in light - I also use gimme brow in light/medium and I find that the lightest shade of brow zings is the closest to my brow shade! xoxo, B
What shade for a redhead? I'm a redhead with fair skin, so what shade should I use??
Hi gorgeous! Try using brow zings in medium - it has a hint of red that will suit you well. If your brows are super light, try using the light shade of brow zings. You can pop into any Benefit location and get shade matched before you buy - check out our store locator to find Benefit near you! https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/brand/storeLocator xoxo, B
What color do I need? I have been using a eyebrow pencil for years now from covergirl in soft brown, but i want to try something new. I found this product on a web tutorial and am considering trying it out. But what color should I get? I am thinking the medium browzing color is closest to the soft brown i use now. I have fair skin and my hair color is blond but more medium blond, not too dark or too light if that makes sense.
I would go with the light. That's what I use & I'd compare it to a soft brown. It does darken just a tad after it goes on when you use the powder on top of the wax. I'm glad I chose the light. The medium would be too dark. You don't want to look "made up". Unless you have dark hair & darker skin tone, I'd definitely say go with the light. This stuff is great. I SO love it.
If you have blonde hair, I would recommend brow zings in light. If you like the look of darker brows and your brows are naturally dark, then you can go with medium. I have brown hair with blonde highlights and I use medium if that helps.
How can I get replacement brushes? Both fell down my drain!
Hi gorgeous, Unfortunately we don't have any spare ones lying around. I recommend getting our hard angled brush to use with your brow zings https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/hard-angle-definer-brush B xo
Is it safe to use the powder as a liner, as well as for the brows?
It hasn't been tested on eyes, only on brows so we would not recommend it.
Which shade should I get? I have Semi-dark brunette hair with a fair skin and rosy undertones, more like SineadyCady the makeup chair so which shade should I get?
I would say medium/dark definitely:) I am alos brunette with fair skin and use the darkest shade
Hi gorgeous! When choosing your shade for your brows, always go with your hair color. Since you're a brunette on the darker side, I would recommend brow zings in medium.
color!! I have honey brown hair and I recently bought the light color but it is looking red on my eyebrows. Am I doing something wrong or did I buy the wrong shade?
Hi there, I have naturally brown hair get my hair dyed blonde very often. When I had the light colour it look quite ginger on myself so I would recommend that you get the Medium colour. I know you will have to pay the additional cost but us girls need gorgeous brows! I then got the medium and so glad that I did it looks so much better. Hope I've saved you! x
Sounds like it may be too light. Try the medium shade and you can also give "gimme brow" a try, we think you'll love it http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/gimme-brow
What color should I get? I naturally have very dark black hair and black eyebrows and I was wondering if the darkest brown would work for me or if I should just stick with my black eyeshadow?
I'd go to a counter to try it. I have pretty dark brows compared to my medium brown hair and was seeing reviews saying medium worked for them, but I went in to try it out anyways and ended up going for the dark one instead since it was perfect for me. I think you'd probably be able to use deep as it is fairly dark, plus it blending in with your natural dark brows would likely be fine, plus it can be built up to be a bit darker. I'd still try it in person anyways if you can in case it doesn't work out - for the price I'd want to be sure.
You can definitely use brow zings in deep or the instant brow pencil in deep http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/category/makeup/eyes/brows?start=0&limit=10&sort_by=ranking%20desc&viewall=1
I bought Brow Zings in Light, but it looks way too dark on me. Is there any way to lighten it?
Sorry Gorgeous! There's no way to lighten it. You could try applying less product, and dabbing it on very lightly. I'd also recommend trying the light shade of Gimme Brow. It offers a more natural look, and I doubt you'd find it to be too dark.
I had this same dilemma, so I started skipping the wax, and just using the powder. It still lasts all day but keeps brows lighter. Try it!
Do you mix he wax and powder? I have watched 3 tutorials on Benefits YouTube on this product, and in the first one, they applied the wax with the hard angle brush, and then the powder wit the other one. However, in the other two, they used the wax, then dipped the hard angle brush in the wax, then powder to fill in sparse areas. I also visited a Benefit bar today and the Benebabe there told me to use more powder than wax. What looks do each method create and is there a big difference?
I've used Brow Zings for a while and I prefer to do the wax first then the powder. The girl who waxes my brows at the Brow Bar fills them by dipping it in the wax and powder and going to town but I feel like doing the steps makes my brows look more shapely, keeps errant hairs from sticking out, and the powder glides over easily and clings to the wax, making my brows look full and perfect with very little product. I usually run a brow brush through them after the wax and after the powder to work the product through and it lasts all day and looks natural. I even get compliments from beauty professionals on my brows.
You can use it many different ways. There really isn't a right or wrong way to use Brow Zings. Play around with it and see what works best for you. The wax is great for smoothing unruly hairs. You may also find that it provides you with the right amount of color for your preferred brow look. The powder is great for filling in sparse areas or adding more definition.
Can this be used to fill out eyebrows for somebody undergoing Chemotherapy and suffering some hair loss on the eyebrows?
Yes for sure, I would definitely choose a product like this, the powder will give you a more subtle natural look, a pencil would be a bit harsh! Hope that's well, stay strong love!
Yes, it can! You can use the wax to smooth any unruly hairs, and then apply the powder to help cover any spots that need a little extra tlc.
can i get the brushes in a longer size? the brushes are very short and hard to use.. i like the tips and they work fine but i get cramps on my fingers.
Yes Benefit offers a variety of brushes, the two that would closely mimic the Brow Zings brushes that are larger in size are the hard angle brush & the cream shadow brush!! Those are shadow brushes but can be used in this circumstance! Hope that helped!
Sorry Gorgeous! The brushes are only available in one size. However we sell a hard angle/definer brush that would also work well with Brow Zings. You can find it here http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/hard-angle-definer-brush
Will this work for black eyebrows? I have black hair and black (purely black, not dark brown) eyebrows. My skin has olive undertone. Will the darkest color be dark enough for my eyebrows?
It's hard to tell, but I would definitely purchase it and try it out, and if not use it as a base and mix a tad of a flat darker shadow to fill in the color a bit. That way you have the benefits of Brow Zings and also the appropriate colour!
I suggest that you visit one of our boutiques or counters to try it on, since "dark enough" is purely subjective and there are other factors to consider, such as the thickness of your brows. The color is build-able, and you will find that you can play around with it quite a bit to get the perfect shade for your skin tone.
Will this work for thick eyebrows? Most people use brow zings to fill in their eyebrows but what about for those people who have thick eyebrows already? Also, I once went to Brow Bar a few months ago and it went well. But as time passed, it returned to its original thick and bushy eyebrows. How do i maintain the perfect eyebrows? Thanks in advance to those who will be answering. :)
Hey Georgina! I too have thick brows so I know your struggle!! Comes to be quite expensive with the upkeep because they grow so fast and you really can't take your eyes off of them for too long cause they become monsters! I bought this product even though I have thick brows, because it helps define them, we can't be getting our eyebrows waxed every week cause it gets quite pricey, but Brow Zings is the best product to keep your brows looking pristine and perfect as if you just walked out of the salon/spa!!
Hello: Will Brow Zings work for thick eyebrows? I think it will. Try to apply the proper shade for them, so that your features won't look too harsh, and don't apply too much product. As to how to maintain the perfect eyebrows, the next time you go to a Brow Bar, try to learn as many tips as possible and turn them into a routine for you, something that will be useful for you to groom them. And practice this regularly, it's the only sure way to obtain results. I hope I've been helpful!
Is there another kind of make up I can bland with the dark Brow Zings to make it darker? Is there anyway i coule blend another kind of make up with the dark powder or wax of the dark brow zings to make it darker or would you not recommend doing this? Thanks!
You could try the Instant Brow pencil in the deep shade.
How dark is the dark brow zings? I have very dark brown hair, almost black, and I normally pencil my eyebrows in with black liner, but I wanted to try this product but am worried that the dark won't come up dark enough. Dark brown brows don't look well on me at all, thanks!!!!
I use the medium one and it is pretty dark. I have dark brown almost black hair and it is dark enough for me so the dark shade one should work!
I would describe it as a medium brown, certainly nowhere close to black.
Should I go for light or medium? I have dyed blonde hair but naturally it is a dark ash blonde/ light brown. Initially I thought the 'light' colour would work best as my hair is very light, but as my eyebrows are my natural darker shade, should I go for the medium instead or is the medium a very dark colour?
I'm in the same boat, I find the light color is just right. Any darker would be too dark. Once it's on, it's dark enough. Looks darker on than it does in the box. Hope this helps.
Go for the light one. I have the medium (because when I went to purchase they didn't have the light and the makeup artist suggested the medium) but really it's a bit too dark.
Hello: I have naturally fair hair and I use the light one. If I were you, I'd settle for light, but going to a Brow Bar wouldn't be a bad idea, they may know better.
Can this be used to thicken eyebrows? I have very thin eyebrows from years of over plucking and have tried growing them to reshape and thicken them but it's not working.. Can this product be used to help thicken my brows or is it more for filling gaps? x
the whole purpose of the brow zings is to give you coverage where you have none.
Brow zings will not actually thicken your brows however it will help give them the appearance of being thicker and fills in gaps.
What shade zing should I try for fair skin and salt n' pepper hair? I went grey rather young(late 30's). My natural hair color is nearly black, now it's about 50/50. My eyebrows are barely visible. What shade should I go with? Thx!
Honestly, I would fill in with the deep brow pencil instead. It's a soft dark grey. If you are set on using a wax and powder, I'd go with light. It's a fawn color that will deepen the hair color without it looking too unnatural.
I would recommend the instant brow pencil in deep or brow zings in deep.
Does it run in the heat? How well does this hold up in the heat and humidity? I'm a huge fan of the She Laq because my brows do not run with it on. I'd like to try this but if it runs when it's hot I don't want to bother.
I've never had a problem with the makeup on my browns running in the heat when using "Brow Zings". And I live part-time in Florida where the summers get ridiculous!
It holds up VERY well. The wax keeps brows exactly how you want them and will not come off in heat or even with accidental touching.
I've been using this every day of summer, and it absolutely holds up in the 97-103 degree weather. The only time I find that it starts to come off is when I'm rough-housing and wiping my face a lot, then it will surely start to come off. Otherwise, nothing can beat this stuff. I love it and no other brow product has worked so well for me!
I have this and its fab!!..its never smudged on me :)
The great thing about this product is that it sticks to the hair and not your skin. Try it out and if you are not satisfied, you could always return your product within 30 days if purchased online through www.benefitcosmetics.com You can also try our instant brow pencil!
What is the purpose of the powder in the Brow-zings kit? I use and love the wax, but can't seem to grasp how to use the powder.
The powder is there to fill in any sparse areas you may have. Also, it latches onto the wax to make brows more defined and natural looking. I agree, I don't think the powder is always necessary, but I much prefer the powder on top to really help that stuff stick, stay, and last all day!
The powder is used over the wax, to blend and balance everything out. Just do a couple quick swipes after applying the wax, in the same direction of the hair growth. The lovely Benefit counter folks will be happy to show you how to use it too.
i color my hair darker than my natural color so my brows are light. i use the wax to tame and put a base on my brows, then use the powder to strengthen the color because it sticks to the wax. i love the powder more because the color is stronger than the wax's color.
the powder is used to fill brows, if you have thin, or too light ones. you evenly and gently apply with a combed brush, or angled brush
use the powder to fill in sparser areas of your brows. You can also mix it with the wax, to get more pigment throughout your brows. The powder is wonderful for filling in the arch area where your brows tend to be thiner.
