Oooh la lift doesn't have any iridescent shimmer like in High Beam. It is a somewhat thinner consistency, and it blends into your skin more. Much more subtle. Oohlalift is meant to go under eyes, to lessen the effect of hangover baggy eyes. (Not that I would know about that)! I'd use High Beam like on cheekbones and over brows, and certainly wouldn't consider the two as interchangeable products.
HOW TO APPLY
Lighten & tighten.
Get those undereyes in shape...put ooh la lift to work! Apply three little dots under each eye and gently pat with fingertip. Reapply as needed for a perky-eyed pick-me-up. A tip from the Benefit founders, Jean & Jane Ford: tote along this perfectly portable formula for late afternoon "wake-up calls."
Does it works similar to the High Beam Highlighter? What are the similarities or differences between these two products?
What does it do exactly ? Doese it also help the dark circles go away or it only hides it ?
It reflects light. As soon as you take it of you'll have dark circles again. Mine are pretty dark, wether I sleep for days or not, It's either this or surgery for me. I do use the cold spoon trick but that minimizes puffy eyes, not dark ones. You can put this in the refrigerator too if you like.
Ooh La Lift will give you an instant eye lift, by instantly perking up tired eyes. It won't diminish dark circles, but it will definitely help you hide them. If you'd like to permanently get rid of your dark circles, try It's Potent, which you can use with Ooh La Lift. http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/its-potent-eye-cream
does this crease or cause concealer to crease? also is setting it with powder necessary
No Gorgeous! It will not cause your concealer to crease. However, to prevent creasing in general, be sure to prime your under eye area before applying your concealer.
Do you apply your facial cleanser first and then put your ooh la lift on? Or is it the opposite way?
Ooh la lift is applied after you have cleansed and moisturized your face.
does it serve as a make up like concealer or eye cream? does it serve as a make up like concealer or eye cream? i just bought it but i wonder do i need to use eye make up remover or just leave it. thanks!
It isn't really a concealer, it just brightens your under eye area, giving it some light and making you look as if you had really slept 8 hours if that's not actually the case. In that sense, it is similar to Eye Bright, with the difference that Eye Bright IS a concealer whereas Ooh la lift isn't, but both have that same use. You can use Ooh la lift solo, or mix it with either Erase Paste or Boi-ing. As for whether you should use make up remover or just leave it, keep a skincare routine: first cleanse (remove all makeup from your face if you've worn any), then the toner and last, but not least, moisturize, your eyes and the rest of your face, with those products which work best for you, and do this in the morning and before going to bed at night.
Can this be used with Stay don't Stray, if so which should I put on first? Would like to use this product with Stay don't Stray primer, should I prime first then use ooh la lift or vice versa?
I usually prime first, then apply Ooh la lift (preferably mixed with Erase Paste), but it is up to you.
how to use should i apply ooh la lift before or after my foundation/concealer/powder?
After concealer...before powder.
Hello: I mix a little bit of ooh la lift with another little bit of Erase Paste and apply the mixture on the lower eye area (never on eyelids) and then goes foundation and powder. I hope this suggestion has been useful!
This delicate pink balm can be applied on bare skin or over makeup.
I use the erase paste and I find it works fantastically! Would this work well with erase paste, or are they both better used alone?
I put on my erase paste which makes the dark circles fade but I add a finishing powder over it then the ooh la lift over that. I find that my circles show less and I have very dark eye circles... I love them together, they could work individually as well but I find it puts erase paste over the top personally.
I also use this in conjunction with the Erase Paste, and it works really well together. I feel that ooh la lift by itself wouldn't cover some of my heavy duty under eye circles. When I use it together with Erase Paste though, I feel that everything is covered well, and I look more refreshed and awake!
I love mixing Benefit products! This delicate pink balm can be applied on bare skin, over makeup or you can mix it with erase paste to conceal and brighten. This legendary under-eye brightening boost is like an instant eyelift! Contains raspberry extracts and light-reflecting pigments to instantly perk up tired eyes.
Will this product work with women of color? The reviews were only from fair and medium complexioned ppl and I'm assuming that they were Medium for us
Hello! I have medium skin tone, but my African-American friend asked me to do her makeup. She has beautiful skin, no flaws, and she also does not have any dark circles. I applied Ooh La LIft, and to tell the truth, I was disappointed. The product just sat on her skin and gave her under-eyes a strange pinkish-white tint. It looked almost like we had put a pink/white sparkle concealer under her eyes! (Eek!) I would probably not recommend this product for any one with a darker skin-tone.
Unfortunately this product does not work on darker skin tones.
Swelling? can it bring down swelling from like a bad makeup that yo used and then woke up with slightly swollen eyes does it bring that down?
I haven't noticed it helping with swelling at all, but I do not have swollen eyes very often.
Ooh la lift will not bring down swelling, it's an under-eye brightening boost.Contains raspberry extracts and light-reflecting pigments to instantly perk up tired eyes. This delicate pink balm can be applied on bare skin or over makeup. Apply three little dots under each eye and gently pat with fingertip. Reapply as needed for a perky-eyed pick-me-up.
