Love that it's:
Put simply, this product does not work. It is nicely packaged but really doesn't get rid of oily patches. However I have since used the Benefit porefessional primer and it is great, so you really need to use a primer/foundation that combats oily skin because this product does not work, oily skin needs to be treated and not covered up during the day.
licence to blot does what it says! it's a perfect oil blotting stick that leaves you looking beautifully matte. although, I do find that it takes off some of your makeup if you don't blend it lightly with your fingers.
I was sadly disappointed by this product. When I heard Benefit had made an oil blotting stick I was really excited because I have typical south asian skin which gets very dry in some places but very, very oily around the t-zone and I was fed up of using oil blotting sheets and so I thought I'd give this a try. Benefit is my favourite make up brand and one I trust so I was very upset when I found out that this blotter had a very minimal effect. It removed so little oil that I had to keep blotting around my nose to the point where I was rubbing my make up off. Very disappointing.
It is very effective and the shape makes it easy to get in the creases of my nose which is quite oily.
Loved the idea of extending the pore family and what better way than by giving us a blotting stick. It's the answer to our prayers and definitely worth purchase. It blots really easily and reduces all oils and shine. I'm not particularly oily or dry but can be extremely combination. When I'm suffering from oily skin, this has been my saviour. A new favourite,,
I love that fact that it takes the place of the blot sheets. A little goes a long way.
My skin has been super dry with my second pregnancy EXCEPT for my nose. I apply it in the morning right after my primer and before my tinted moisturizer and then I touch up around 3 pm. It really does work and i'll be buying one for my niece who's a teenager and needs this product in her life right now.
Since I had been using such a good product as Porefessional for some time, and Agent Zero Shine has become an absolute must in my makeup bag, logically I wanted to try this one as well. When I first saw this, I was surprised by the fact that the tube was smaller than the others', but when I tried it both on my hand and on my forehead, well... it does mattify indeed.
Of course, once you apply it on your skin, which you'll have to do by little strokes, it will eventually fade, so you'll have to reapply during the day. I suppose its small size makes it fit to be carried in your bag, for touchup purposes. I like the triangular shape, it makes it easier to get to other corners of your face such as your nose and its surroundings.
I like the product and might buy another one once the one I have is finished off.
I adore Benefit and with my oily skin, I had to purchase this product ASAP. It had just been put onto the market, and I bought without any feedback or reviews. I am not disappointed, but also not thrilled as I wish I could be. Using on clean skin, the product does apply nicely and does cover any shine. It does a pretty good job at lasting for a few hours, but it does fade. (Not upset with this, as all products fade at one point.) I've been using over clean skin with only Hello Flawless pressed powder over which keeps my face matte from 9am until around 1 or 2. (not terrible) But, I fear with how oily Hello Flawless liquid foundation makes my skin, this product will do little to help. For $20, I will probably repurchase depending on how it works with liquid foundation applied as well.
I have extremely oily skin, so anytime a new oil control product comes out (especially from Benefit, my favorite makeup brand), I get so excited! But this stuff was a very sore disappointment. I didn't even want to give it a ONE rating, but that's the lowest I can go.
I normally use the standard oil blotting sheets and I wanted to try something new that wouldn't remove any of my makeup like the sheets tend to do. But when I used this product, it kind of felt like it wasn't REMOVING the oil at all - it was just spreading it around and/or covering it. Some areas still looked oily even after I applied it. And the shine came back very quickly. At the end of the day I just gave up and used my blotting sheet - I had to use TWO because all of that oil had still been sitting on my face.
If you have oily skin DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This stuff just plain doesn't work.
