When you shop with us online, we provide 2 free samples with each order. From time to time, samples are available at Benefit Cosmetics boutiques, BrowBar Lounges and counters. We do not mail out samples by request.

Benefit does not test our products on animals.
Since 1989, the Perfumes & Cosmetics companies of LVMH group (including Benefit Cosmetics) have not performed any tests on animals for our products - this was implemented long before the 2013 official ban set by the European Union.
We are deeply committed to the elimination of animal testing. We’re playing a leading role in developing alternative methods through our support of the “Fund for Alternatives to Animal Testing” in the United States. We also actively participate in validation studies of new alternative tests in the framework of the European cosmetics association, Cosmetics Europe. We are one of only a few companies to have invested in creating our own internal department to test raw materials and ingredients to further ensure the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers, which is our top priority.
As a result, all Benefit products undergo very strict tolerance tests using non-animal methods during the development of each product to ensure quality and safety prior to market.
Some customers expressed concern regarding the situation in China. Our products are made in Europe and for imported cosmetics, the Chinese health authorities order some test on animals: they require companies to make their products available to be tested in state-certified laboratories for registration purposes only, as it is currently their only recognised method to demonstrate product safety .
We are hopeful that alternative testing methods will be adopted worldwide and we will see an end to animal testing.
Each country has its own specific regulations that are regularly updated. Benefit's parent company, LVMH, has always been actively involved in the search for alternative testing methods for many years and supports several industry research programs, including those conducted by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing, the European Chemical Industry Ecology and Toxicology Centre (ECETOC), the European Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (COLIPA) and the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC).
Benefit is against cruelty to animals. It is our goal to be as transparent and honest with our customers as possible. We believe the "cruelty free" certifications provide unclear explanations to consumers, as it implies that none of the ingredients incorporated into products have ever been tested on animals. This is a nearly impossible certification for any cosmetic company to make. We prefer to be able to stand 100% behind our claims.
Benefit does not test our cosmetic products on animals and we require our raw material suppliers to provide safety information based on scientifically accepted alternative testing methods. It is nearly impossible for any cosmetic company to certify that all new and existing ingredients incorporated into products have never been tested on animals as part of the safety research and certification process. Benefit selects high quality raw materials with well-established safety records and uses an extensive ingredient database. Benefit is committed to maintaining the highest standards of human safety while eliminating the need for testing on animals.
Consumer safety is our top priority. Heavy metals are not added to our products and we carefully scrutinise all raw materials in order to comply with the strictest worldwide regulations (USA, Canada, EU, Japan, & Asia).

On our new site, we've also implemented a new system for processing orders (honestly, it's not that exciting, so we won't bore you with the details). But if you've placed an order before January 19, 2012 on our previous site & want to track the order, no worries, your order is on its way to you!
For UK orders: Your shipping confirmation email should contain the Shipping Carrier (Royal Mail, UPS) and the tracking number (where applicable), which you can use to track your package on the Shipping Carrier websites. Orders generally take about 3-7 days to arrive.
For international orders: Orders generally take 10-30 days to arrive (and sometimes up to 45 days due to customs delays). If you don't receive your package within that time period, please contact our Customer Care team by email or phone at 0800 279 4793.
