How can I receive samples?
When you shop with us online, we provide free samples with each order. From time to time, samples are available at Benefit Cosmetics boutiques, BrowBar Lounges and counters. We do not mail out samples by request.
How can I find out about becoming an authorized seller or franchising with Benefit Cosmetics?
We appreciate your interest in Benefit. Benefit Cosmetics are sold exclusively at benefitcosmetics.com, boutiques and licensed retail stores in the United States and internationally. Unfortunately, we are not offering either franchise or wholesale opportunities for independent retailers at this time.
Why has my favorite product been discontinued?
From time to time, Benefit retires products to make room for new ones. We know that saying "buh-buy" isn't always easy. If this was your favorite, be sure to stock up now and stay tuned for exciting, new beauty solutions to come.
Are Benefit products hypo-allergenic?
Benefit does not test for or claim that our products are hypo-allergenic (least likely to cause an allergic reaction) or non-comedogenic (does not cause pimples & blackheads). If you have a specific allergy, please contact Customer Care to determine if a product is suitable for your skin.
Does Benefit Cosmetics test on animals?
We do not test our products on animals nor do we permit others to do so except where it is required by law.
We are deeply committed to the elimination of animal testing and we are playing a leading role in developing alternative methods through our support of the “Fund for Alternatives to Animal Testing” in the United States and the Opal Program in France. Additionally, we are one of only a few companies to have invested in creating our own internal department to test raw materials and ingredients to further ensure the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers, which is our foremost priority.
We are hopeful that alternative testing methods will be adopted worldwide and we will see an end to animal testing.
I have concerns that there are heavy metals in cosmetic products, are there?
Consumer safety is our top priority. Heavy metals are not added to our products and we carefully scrutinize all raw materials in order to comply with the strictest worldwide regulations (USA, Canada, EU, Japan, & Asia).
What should I do if I've forgotten my account password?
Don't worry, it happens to the best of us! Just click on "Log In/Create Account" at the top right of the page, and click on "Forgot your password?" under Returning Customers. You'll be prompted to enter your email address and begin the password recovery process.
What credit cards are accepted on your site?
We accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa cards. We do not accept checks or money orders.
Is it safe to use my credit card?
Have no fear. Benefit's safe shopping is here! We aim to provide you with a safe and convenient online shopping experience. When placing an order online, your information is transmitted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, an approved industry standard that is used by vendors to ensure the security of online business. It negotiates and employs the essential functions of mutual authentication, data encryption, and data integrity for secure transactions.
One of the ways you can check the security of your connection, take a look at the lower corner of your browser window as you place your order. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active and the server is secure. You can also double-check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https."
When entering a new shipping address, you may be prompted to re-enter your credit card information. This procedure is done to ensure the maximum safety for your personal data.
How will I know if my order has been received?
An order confirmation will appear as the final step in your order process. In addition, you'll receive an email confirmation with an order number and brief summary of your fabulous new purchase! Get excited...Benefit is now on its way to you! Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an additional email to confirm shipment of your order.

How do I change or cancel an order?
You're able to cancel an order within 30 minutes of placing an order. Simply log in to view your Orders and click the Cancel option. Or, give us a ring at 1-800-781-2336 and we'll be happy to assist you.
Once you receive an order confirmation by email, it means your order is already being processed and can not be changed or cancelled by you or our Customer Care team.

Is Benefit Cosmetics gluten free?
Our principal mission and our duty: to guarantee safe, high quality products for our consumers. Committeed to upholding consumer's confidence in its products, the LVMH group has always endeavoured to supply products of consistently high, impeccable quality.
The products we develop therefore comply with the strictest legislations throughout the world, whilst also meeting our internal development criteria and the most stringent quality, traceability and safety constraints. These requirements guarantee the product's safety for the consumer.
We may have wheat germ in a few remaining products, all others have been reformulated to withdraw all wheat protein hydrolysates, even though these ingredients are still widely used elsewhere in the cosmetics industry today.
It should however be noted that in spite of all the care we take over the traceability of our raw materials, we cannot guarantee that the raw materials used may not have come into contact accidentally with gluten during their manufacturing process at our suppliers.
Do you offer tracking on international orders?
In order to provide the most affordable shipping options to our international customers, we do not offer trackable international shipping.
Is it true that I can get a free brow arch on my birthday in the US? What are the details?
No purchase necessary. Offer valid Feb 1, 2013 to Dec 31, 2013. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Free Benefit brow arch service will be provided during the US calendar week (Sun-Sat) which includes legal birth date, except at Ulta Beauty Benefit BrowBar Lounge locations. All customers (or minor customer's parent or legal guardian) must sign the consent and waiver form prior to receiving the service. Valid government issued photo identification required. No substitutions and non-transferable. This offer has no cash value and cannot be combined with any other offer. One free Benefit brow arch service per person per US calendar year. Free Benefit brow arch service is available in select locations only, and is not available at Ulta Benefit Beauty BrowBar Lounge locations. Not all Benefit BrowBar Lounge locations open all days.
