  • How can I receive samples?

    When you shop with us online, we provide free samples with each order. From time to time, samples are available at Benefit Cosmetics boutiques, brow bars and counters. We do not mail out samples by request.

  • How can I find out about becoming an authorized seller or franchising with Benefit Cosmetics?

    We appreciate your interest in Benefit. Benefit Cosmetics are sold exclusively at benefitcosmetics.com, boutiques and licensed retail stores in the United States and internationally. Unfortunately, we are not offering either franchise or wholesale opportunities for independent retailers at this time.

  • Are Benefit products hypo-allergenic?

    Benefit does not test for or claim that our products are hypo-allergenic (least likely to cause an allergic reaction) or non-comedogenic (does not cause pimples & blackheads). If you have a specific allergy, please contact Customer Care to determine if a product is suitable for your skin.

  • Does Benefit Cosmetics test on animals?

    Benefit does not test our cosmetic products on animals. When selecting the ingredients to be used in our cosmetic products, Benefit requires raw material suppliers to provide safety information based on scientifically accepted alternative testing methods that meet international safety standards and regulations. Benefit products must meet both consumers' needs and consumer safety, while respecting animal life. Benefit continues to strongly support & favor alternative testing and is committed to following all animal testing laws and regulations in order to ensure our products' safety for the end consumer.

  • Where can I read about testing regulations & alternative research?

    Each country has its own specific regulations that are regularly updated. Benefit's parent company, LVMH, has always been actively involved in the search for alternative testing methods for many years and supports several industry research programs, including those conducted by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing, the European Chemical Industry Ecology and Toxicology Centre (ECETOC), the European Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (COLIPA) and the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC).

  • Other makeup brands confirm they are cruelty free, why doesn't Benefit?

    Benefit is against cruelty to animals. It is our goal to be as transparent and honest with our customers as possible. We believe the "cruelty free" certifications provide unclear explanations to consumers, as it implies that none of the ingredients incorporated into products have ever been tested on animals. This is a nearly impossible certification for any cosmetic company to make. We prefer to be able to stand 100% behind our claims.

  • Can you tell me which ingredients may have been tested on animals?

    Benefit does not test our cosmetic products on animals and we require our raw material suppliers to provide safety information based on scientifically accepted alternative testing methods. It is nearly impossible for any cosmetic company to certify that all new and existing ingredients incorporated into products have never been tested on animals as part of the safety research and certification process. Benefit selects high quality raw materials with well-established safety records and uses an extensive ingredient database. Benefit is committed to maintaining the highest standards of human safety while eliminating the need for testing on animals.

  • I have concerns that there are heavy metals in cosmetic products, are there?

    Consumer safety is our top priority. Heavy metals are not added to our products and we carefully scrutinize all raw materials in order to comply with the strictest worldwide regulations (USA, Canada, EU, Japan, & Asia).

  • What should I do if I've forgotten my account password?

    Don't worry, it happens to the best of us! Just click on "Log In/Create Account" at the top right of the page, and click on "Forgot your password?" under Returning Customers. You'll be prompted to enter your email address and begin the password recovery process.

  • Is it safe to use my credit card?

    Have no fear. Benefit's safe shopping is here! We aim to provide you with a safe and convenient online shopping experience. When placing an order online, your information is transmitted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, an approved industry standard that is used by vendors to ensure the security of online business. It negotiates and employs the essential functions of mutual authentication, data encryption, and data integrity for secure transactions.

    One of the ways you can check the security of your connection, take a look at the lower corner of your browser window as you place your order. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active and the server is secure. You can also double-check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https."

    When entering a new shipping address, you may be prompted to re-enter your credit card information. This procedure is done to ensure the maximum safety for your personal data.

  • How will I know if my order has been received?

    An order confirmation will appear as the final step in your order process. In addition, you'll receive an email confirmation with an order number and brief summary of your fabulous new purchase! Get excited...Benefit is now on its way to you! Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an additional email to confirm shipment of your order.

  • How do I change or cancel an order?

    You're able to cancel an order within 30 minutes of placing an order. Simply log in to view your Orders and click the Cancel option. Or, give us a ring at 1-800-781-2336 and we'll be happy to assist you.

    Once you receive an order confirmation by email, it means your order is already being processed and can not be changed or cancelled by you or our Customer Care team.

We've also added more product information & fun Benefit content and videos. Find more of the info that you're looking for with our improved search and store locator! Well, and the biggest upgrade: it's prettier. Now, that's something we can blush about.

  • Why can't I see any of my old orders? How do I track an order I placed on your previous site?

    On our new site, we've also implemented a new system for processing orders (honestly, it's not that exciting, so we won't bore you with the details). But if you've placed an order before August 17, 2011 on our previous site & want to track the order, no worries, your order is on its way to you!

    For U.S. orders: Your shipping confirmation email should contain the Shipping Carrier (UPS, FedEx) and the tracking number, which you can use to track your package on the Shipping Carrier websites. Orders generally take about 5-7 days to arrive.

    For international orders: Orders generally take 10-30 days to arrive (and sometimes up to 45 days due to customs delays). If you don't receive your package within that time period, please contact our Customer Care team email or phone at 1-800-781-2336.

  • Is it true that I can get a free brow arch on my birthday in the US? What are the details?

    No purchase necessary. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Free Benefit brow arch service will be provided during the US calendar week (Sun-Sat) which includes legal birth date. All customers (or minor customer's parent or legal guardian) must sign the consent and waiver form prior to receiving the service. Valid government issued photo identification required. No substitutions and non-transferable. This offer has no cash value and cannot be combined with any other offer. One free Benefit brow arch service per person per US calendar year. Free Benefit Brow Arch service is available in select locations only. Not all Benefit Brow Bar locations open all days. Benefit reserves the right to adjust program rules & regulations at any time without notice.
