This Vancouver native packed up & moved to SF ten years ago. She laces up her pointe shoes as a prominent dancer in the SF art scene and has performed lead roles in the ballets: Themes & Variations, Symphony in C & Coppelia. Her biggest loves are dance and helping children, which is why she supports the Children of Uganda, 2012 Tour of Light in her spare time.
Fog? Love it or leave it?
Love it. I have huge windows in my house and it feels like I live in the clouds...
Imbibe us: Favorite place to drink or eat?
For coffee and feel-good ambiance: Four Barrel. For pizza: Delfina Pizzeria. For Chinese: San Tung (chicken wings!). For bbq pork buns: Victor's Bakery. For a steamy delicious stew made in a crock pot: my house. For brunch: either Chloe's (avocado and jarlsberg scramble with the whole wheat walnut toast) or Zazie. For noodle soup: Izayaka Sozai (pork belly ramen). For an open-face sandwich or a buttery croissant: Tartine Bakery.
What beauty or fashion trend do you think describes SF?
I think natural beauty best describes SF. It's less of a trend and more of a lifestyle. It's about the combination of clothes, accessories, and hairstyle that makes you feel comfortable, yet fun and sexy in your own skin.
You're proud to be a San Franciscan because...
I am proud (and so grateful) to be a Chinese-born-Canadian San Franciscan because I get to be a part of a movement that employs art and creativity to better the lives of other people...at least that's my goal.
What Benefit product can you not leave home without?
10! I love my bronzing and highlighting face powder. What's better than a two-in-one product!?
