Annie's passion for good service has long been the perfect complement to her husband Craig's passion in the kitchen. After honing her front-of-the house skills at some of the city's top restaurants, Anne worked at Depot Cafe in Mill Valley where fate walked in. There, Anne met Craig who was working across the street at the Frog and the Peach. They soon left to open Delfina, eloping weeks after Delfina opened in 1998. Since then, Delfina has become known for service that perfectly reflects its food: casual and urban, with a friendly but professional sophistication. Always with food on their brain they opened Pizzeria Delfina on 18th in 2005, Pizzeria Delfina on California Street in 2008 and Locanda Osteria in 2011.
Do you dare call it Frisco?
No!!
If San Francisco had a tagline it would read...
"...where dreams come true" Dorky I know, but mine did!
Favorite place to drink or eat?
Locanda, Delfina, and Pizzeria Delfina of course!! A bit of self promotion, but it's also true!
Favorite neighborhood to spend a Saturday?
The Mission. I love going to Bar Tartine for brunch, stopping in at Four Barrel for an espresso and then checking out all of the great shops on Valencia.
Best late night snack is...
ice cream with warm chocolate sauce at home
Local Inspiration. Is there a San Franciscan you look up to?
Dave Eggers for starting 826 Valencia, an amazing non-profit.
