Anne holds a degree in English from Stanford and is blessed with an all-consuming interest in nearly everything: fashion, interior design, music, pop culture, history, dogs, ponies, vegetables, ice cream....the list goes on, which she blogs about at The City Sage. In 2010 she started an online magazine, Rue Magazine, as an excuse to indulge her every whim, and so far it's going pretty well. Recently she rented a camel as a tax write-off.
Best late night snack is...
A pint of Humphrey Slocombe's Secret Breakfast-crystallized after a few forgotten months in the freezer. Not even age can mar its sweet bourbon 'n' cornflake goodness!
Share a tidbit about SF that only locals know about.
The best Chinese food isn't in Chinatown. It's in in the Sunset District, and it's definitely worth the trek to the middle of nowhere for a dumpling indulgence!
Where's the first place you'll take visitors to?
Twin Peaks. Thrill 'em with the twisty drive up the hills, then wow 'em with the bridge-to-bridge view.
Who's your favorite Giant?
Don't make me pick! That's like asking me to choose a favorite superhero, or the cutest from a litter of puppies! A cruel position in which to put any red-blooded San Franciscan girl.
Favorite place to drink or eat?
Udupi Palace on Valencia. Super tasty South Indian Cuisine, and four people can easily dine for under fifty bucks. Bonus: If you try to order off the menu, the waiter will look at you and ask, "Really? You think that will taste good?!"
